Larry Saylor was a good friend and fellow classmate in the 50s at Lafayette Elementary School and Topeka High too.  Larry will always be remembered as a mechanically gifted guy who was intelligent, honest, friendly and respectful to everyone he met. He was also an excellent engine specialist, mechanic and machinist. Larry will be missed by everyone who knew him as a classmate and as a friend. He was a all-around good guy.  R.I.P. old buddy.

I agree with Norman Butler's comments. I too first knew Larry at Lafayette School. I recall being very envious when he was one of the first to have a new 24" bike--he let me ride it. He lived at about 5th and Market, near Kenny Hancock, Sammy Bates, Terry Fields, Dickie Myer, Ira Boyles and Norman and Mike (Butler) when they lived on Golden. I also recall that his Dad bought him boxing gloves. No fun boxing with him. Too solid.

Good to recall those memories prompted by Larry's passing. RIP, Larry.
