       Robert Lee Rainey, 53, Topeka, died Thursday, February 9, 1995, at his home.

       Mr. Rainey worked in the accounting department at Santa Fe Railway for 28 years and two years in the customer quality service department.

       He was born January 19, at 1942, in Topeka, the son of Norman F. and Virginia Lucile Brown Rainey.  He was graduated from Topeka High School and earned a degree in accounting at Washburn University.

       He was married to Judy Andes  for 20 years.  She survives at home.

       Other survivors include a daughter, Tammy L. Kennedy, Independence, Missouri; his mother, Virginia Rainey, Topeka; two brothers, Paul E. Rainey, Topeka, and William L. Rainey, Oklahoma City; and three grandchildren.

       Services will be at 10 AM Monday at Holy Name Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Rainey will lie in state from 2 to 9 PM Sunday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where parish rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM Sunday.
