I sat next to Charles in band in the clarinet section.  He was really good.  I was only fair.  So, he helped me a lot. He was always kind and a solid friend.  When we marched on the field in formations, he was quite tall and I was quite short.  That is how my parents could find me from the stands.  I am glad to know that music was always in his life.
