Alden Ray Harsch

August 28, 1944 - November 3, 2021

 

Alden Ray Harsch of McKinney, Texas passed away on November 3, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born on August 28, 1944 to Ray W. Harsch and Maude (Weese) Harsch in Topeka, Kansas. Alden graduated from Topeka West High School in 1962 in the first graduating class. He attended Washburn University before transferring to Kansas State Teacher’s College where he graduated from in 1968. As soon as Alden graduated, he went to work for National Supply in Gainesville, Texas. He worked there for 19 years before he went to work for LTV, later known as Lockheed Martin. In 2011, Alden was able to retire. He married Nancy Selk on December 18, 1965 in Axtell, Kansas. In 1970, Alden and Nancy started their family with the birth of their son, Jason and later, Justin in 1975. Justin and Jason will always be able to remember the numerous family camping trips they went on. Alden took them dirt biking, fishing, and playing golf. After retirement, Nancy and Alden spent retirement summers in their cabin in Colorado. His favorite times were spent with his grandkids. He loved being known as “Poppy” to his 5 grandchildren and loved doting on them and letting them know he cared for and loved them. Alden was a member of the Ovilla United Methodist Church of Ovilla, Texas for 28 years.

Alden is survived by his wife, Nancy Harsch of McKinney, Texas; sons, Jason Harsch and wife, Margaret and Justin Harsch and wife, Dana, both of McKinney, Texas; grandkids, Travis, Jacob, Graydon, Cason and Adele; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Maude Harsch and his sister, Donna Foley.

I AMA     VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF ALDEN'S PPASSING,. I  REMEMBER HIM A A REALY NICE GUY. KEEP RENEMBERIGN HIM . YOU WILL NEEVER LOOSE HIM THAT WAY. MYN THOUGHTW S PRAYERWS ARE WITH HIS FRIENDES ANS FAMILY.
