Sandra Butler

Sandra K. Butler, 57, Topeka, died Thursday, February 14, 2002, at her home. She was born September 25, 1944, in Topeka, the daughter of William Ellsworth Conaway and Wilma Bernice Luthye.  She graduated from Topeka High School and lived most of her life in Kansas. She co-founded Barnes-Butler Inc., a wholesale medical supply company. She lived away from Topeka a short time before she moved back in 1977.

Survivors include her fiancé, Roger M Barnes; a son, Mark Butler, Topeka; her mother, Wilma B. Rabe, Topeka; and two grandchildren. 

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Penwell-Gable Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Butler will lie in state at the funeral Chapel after 8 a.m. Sunday. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, 1221 S. W. 17th St., Topeka, 66604-2899; or to the American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Rd., Topeka 66604.

Sally Lauterbach (Luttjohann)

I really liked Sandy. We shared many a good times when we were neighbors.  If anyone can share stories about her adult life, I would greatly appreciate  knowing about  her.

Sandy was the Greatest....Nicest person one could ever know....Great Mom....Fun to be around....She is missed by all who knew her....

I remember Sandy from THS, class of 1962.  She was such a nice person to be around and she passed away at such a young age.  Though the years we never kept in contact you were thought of as are so many of my high school friends.
