Clarence A. Carpenter

Clarence A. “Clete” Carpenter, 60, Topeka, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at a Topeka hospital. He was born May 19, 1944, in Topeka, the son of Albert E. and Thelma Duvall Carpenter. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1962 and attended Washburn University. Mr. Carpenter was director of information systems for Santa Fe Railway, where he retired in December 1996. He married Nancy Brunker on June 14, 1968, in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Thad and his wife, Marlee, Topeka; a daughter, Jayme, Manhattan; a granddaughter, Paige; and five brothers, Harry, Ed, Ken, Bob and Dave, all of Topeka. Mr. Carpenter was preceded in death by his twin brother, Claude, in July 1998. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.

I just saw of Clarence's passing and want to offer my condolences at this late date.  I was a friend and classmate of his and remember him and his brother Claude and two of the nicest brothers you could want.  My sincere sympathy his famiy and friends.
