ANNOUNCEMENTS

In Aug, 2019 I nominated Leonard “Pete” Stromquist for the THS Hall of Fame. My nomination
was based on his service in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot. Pete was shot down 2 or 3 times but
was patched up and returned to service. Pete was awarded 3 Purple Hearts. His service continued after the war, but I am not really knowledgeable enough to even attempt to inform
you about his work.
On Tuesday March 17, 2026 I received a phonecall from Joan Barker at THS Historical Society
informing me that my nomination had been excepted an that Pete will be entered in to the hall
on Sunday October 4, 2026.
For this to occur, I or a family member must be present to accept this for him.
My hope is that any classmates (wether or not knowing him) Will attend this induction. So if you are so inclined please put it on your calendar.
