Vana Gene (Minor) Edwards, 63, Topeka, died Thursday, December 27, 2007, after an extended battle with cancer.  She was born October 27, 1944 at Lousiana, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene W. and Thelma (Kendall) Minor.  She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1962, and Washburn University.  Vana worked at the Menninger Foundation and Private Industry Training in California. She was married to Clifford E, Edwards.  They later divorced. He preceded her in death on December 16, 2001.  

         Surviving her three daughters: Kelly Streeter of Kansas City, Kansas, Melissa Edwards of Chualar, California, and Jessica Edwards of Chualar, California; her mother: Thelma I. Minor of Topeka; and a sister: Jeanell Wilder of Topeka.

         Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Parker-Price Chapel, 245 NW Independence. Internment in Topeka Cemetery.  Vana will not lie in state.  Memorials may be made to Susan G.
