         BERRYTON - Leslie Howard Ridgeway, 52, Berryton, died Friday, October 11, 1996, at a Topeka hospital.

         Mr. Ridgway was a plumber and pipefitter.  He had worked for Frank Ridgeway & Son, Blue Sky of Topeka, McElroy's, Young's, Huxtables and PCI.

         He was born January 30, 1944 at Topeka, the son of Frank L. and Pearle C. Kincaid Ridgeway.  He was graduated from Topeka High School.

         Mr. Ridgway was a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Local Union No. 165 and a bowling league at Gage Bowl.  He also had managed T-Ball teams and a girls softball teams.  He was a former member of Oakland United Methodist Church.

         He was married to Donna J McDowell on August 8, 1976, in Topeka.  She survives.

         Other survivors include four sons; Les B. Ridgeway, Pomona; Timothy Ridgeway, Little Rock, Arkansas; Cory Ridgeway, Parsons; and Scott Ridgeway, Altamonte; two stepdaughters, Doreen Brown and Delaine Berry, both of Topeka; his mother, Pearl Ridgeway, Topeka; two brothers, Dale Ridgeway, Topeka and Stanley Ridgeway, Satsuma, Florida; and three step grandchildren.

         Services will be at 10 AM Tuesday at Parker-Price Mortuary in Topeka.  Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka.  Mr. Ridgway will lie in state after 1 PM Monday at the mortuary.
