Sharon Koehler (Rabe)

Oskaloosa -- Mrs. Sharon A. Rabe, 45, Oskaloosa, died Saturday, March 24, 1990 at her home. She had been ill. Mrs. Rabe worked 22 years for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., where she was a secretary in the distribution center.  She was born June 26, 1944 in Topeka, the daughter of Matthew and Ferne Edds Koehler.She spent most of her life in the Topeka area. Mrs. Rabe was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Topeka and the Goodyear Women’s Club.

She married Charles W. Rabe July 28, 1962 in Topeka. They owned and operated Slough Creek Bait Shop at Lake Perry. He survives.  Other survivors include two daughters, Kelly D. Schmidtlein and Lisa A. Rabe, both of Topeka; her parents, both of Topeka; a brother, Ron Koehler, San Antonio, Texas; and a grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka. Mrs. Rabe will lie in state from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan Funeral Home in Topeka where a rosary will be cited by friends and relatives at 7 p.m., by the parish at 8 pm.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis Hospital Radiation-Oncology Depart. and sent in care of Dr. Ralph Reymond 1700 W. 7th, 66606.
