Virginia Sue Sharp

         Hampton, Virginia- Virginia Sue Sharp, 59, died Saturday, January 17, 2004, at her home surrounded by her family.

        She was a native of Topeka, but had lived on the peninsula since 1989. She graduated from Topeka High School and was employed with Family Services and Guidance Center in Topeka, before moving to Virginia, where she became employed with Riverside Family Practice.

         Virginia was preceded and dad by her sister, Saundra M. Branch.

         She is survived by her husband, Thomas R. Sharp, of Hampton; her parents William R. and Della May Helm, of Topeka; one son, William D. Marier, of Kansas City, Kansas; one daughter, Donna Sue Marier, of Topeka; one sister, Carolyn K. Sharp and her husband, Oren, of Topeka; two step-daughters, Carolyn S. Campbell and her husband, John of Hampton, and Linda M. Kapp her husband, James, of Hampton; and seven grandchildren.

         A service of remembrance will be at 10 AM Wednesday at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with burial to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.

         In Lieu of flowers, you may make contributions to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 250 Fox Hill Rd., Hampton, VA, 23669 or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the care of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Ave., Hampton.
