Benjamin Leroy Haggard, Jr.
Benjamin Leroy Haggard, Jr., 62, died October 1, at his home. Benjamin was born October 2, 1943, in Topeka, Kansas. To the parentage of Benjamin L. Haggard, Sr. and Paralee McConnell White. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1963; worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 32 years, retiring January 3, 2005. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his mother, Paralee McConnell White, Topeka. Brother: Robert Edward Haggard, Sr., Topeka. Sister: Gloria Jean Young, Topeka and a host of nieces and nephews. Services: Saturday, October 7, at Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel, Inc. Instate: Friday, October 6, at B.J.F.C. 4-8 PM where family will receive friends from 6-8 PM. Burial: Topeka Cemetery.

Ben was a true best friend to me.
A saw him 3 or 4 times after graduation.
I believe the last time I saw him was in 1972.
We seemed to "hang out" together in high school.
Because we were great friends in high school I miss him very much.
Yes, Ben was my best friend in high school.
